MegaFood, known for its use of real ingredients, aimed to reach a new audience. This challenge was met by introducing Serene, a sub-brand dedicated to destigmatizing mental health struggles across all age groups. Through premium vitamins and supplements, Serene aligns with MegaFood's commitment to quality while promoting mental well-being.
Learning Outcomes
In this project, I learned to turn ideas into reality by creating physical mockups. I focused on consistency and used different materials and software like SolidWorks and KeyShot to make prototypes. I also used tools from my previous branding design class. This project was selected to be displayed in the ArtCenter Student Gallery, showcasing my growth and skills.
What is MegaFood?
MegaFood is a supplements brand that uses real ingredients from real farmers to create premium vitamins and supplements. They are one of the first companies to make their whole food supplements from innovative FoodState Nutrients, which are real foods combined with their respective vitamins.
Why Serene?
The use of supplements for mental health has become a trend among many who suffer from depression and anxiety. Natural supplements that occur from the food we eat have been proven to benefit mental health. We understand that eating a nutrtious meal is hard sometimes. Getting help shouldn’t be.

Serene Products
The packaging design features bright and bold colors instead of calm pastel tones commonly seen in mental health products. This intentional choice breaks away from stereotypes, providing a more vibrant and inclusive representation of mental health.
Packaging Lineup
The packaging lineup for Serene includes an omega 3 pill container, a tear tube box, an essential oil bottle, and a bag. These packaging forms were chosen for their easy accessibility to consumers, featuring rounded shapes for user-friendly handling. This graphic system was implemented, with simple pattern illustrations that correlate to the ingredients of each product. This design approach ensures that consumers can easily identify and engage with the products while maintaining a cohesive and visually appealing brand identity.
Dielines
The packaging for Serene's product range is designed with dielines for efficient manufacturing. Each panel displays essential product information and branding elements. Environmentally friendly materials are exclusively utilized, avoiding plastics. Vibrant colors and subtle patterns enhance the visual appeal. Unique features, like tearable seals revealing colorful patterns, engage consumers. Tear tube boxes provide suggestions for repurposing, such as transforming them into plant pots, promoting sustainability beyond initial use.
Launch Campaign
Serene's billboard campaign will reflect the vibrant gradient colors of its branding. Opening the packaging reveals bright and playful shapes representing the ingredients used in the products.
Instagram Stories
These Instagram stories feature potential users engaging with filters and patterns in a fun and expressive manner. The content showcases both young and older individuals, emphasizing inclusivity. The importance of sustainability to Serene is highlighted through an example such as repurposing the tin pill container as a plant pot.
Website
The website prominently features vibrant gradients and graphic elements that dynamically change as you scroll through the page. Users will find it easy to navigate and purchase products from the collection.

Brand posters display the full scope of the brand, offering a glimpse into its expansiveness and potential for growth.
Live Demo
This project was live demonstrated and showcased using physical mockup products placed on stands, accompanied by graphic elements serving as props. Its presentation at the ArtCenter Gallery underscored its creativity and innovation.
