Freelance

I partnered with NZXT, a leading computer hardware manufacturer, to create a fresh set of illustrations and stickers, reimagining their beloved mascot, Pucci. Drawing inspiration from NZXT's iconic Puck product, I helped bring a new look to Pucci, aligning the design with NZXT's creative vision for the PC gaming market.

NZXT STICKERS

These winning designs were crafted for the NZXT Discord Server, where I had the opportunity to transform them into limited-edition stickers. Each design competed in contests, with the winning sticker determined by the highest number of purple-heart reactions. These stickers were exclusively distributed to members of the server, adding a touch of creativity and community spirit to their collections.

NZXT X Design By Humans

I designed the NZXT x Design By Humans limited edition t-shirt, which generated proceeds donated to Direct Relief, a humanitarian aid nonprofit organization. This is a design I made with collage of items. It represents the imaginative, fun, and tech side we all do during quarantine. The mural artwork is formed around the word “NZXT” using their brand colors. All proceeds went to Direct Relief to help those that have been impacted most. NZXT donated an extra $10 to every purchase to the limited edition t-shirt. Currently this work is set as NZXT’s LinkedIn banner.

PUCCI PICK

Pucci’s Pick is a monthly award for a standout member of the NZXT CLUB Discord. Winners receive a special role, a custom emote, a $20 Steam Gift Card (or Nitro), limited-edition stickers, a Pucci’s Pick t-shirt, and recognition in a blog post or newsletter.

SKATEBOARD PUCCI

With the release of the new Tony Hawk skater game, I was tasked with illustrating Pucci in skateboard gear, having fun at a skatepark.

FATHER’S DAY PUCCI

Illustrating Pucci for Father’s Day was a challenge I tackled by addressing how to make Pucci appear both older and younger. I refined Pucci’s characteristics, which were initially too simple in shape. By adjusting details like the mouth and eyebrows, I was able to distinguish between the older and younger versions of the character.

CHRISTMAS PUCCI

For the Christmas Pucci illustration, I aimed to capture a fun, playful attitude with Pucci making a snow angel, interacting with deer, and featuring a snowman with birds in a snowy, cold environment.

BACK TO SCHOOL PUCCI

For the "back to school" illustration, I depicted Pucci in a gamer's room during COVID, showing him on a Zoom call with others. The room was designed to reflect a gamer's personality, featuring toys, posters, LED lights, and a PC.

AUTUMN PUCCI

For the November calendar illustration, I envisioned Pucci in a pumpkin and squash vendor setting, featuring a pumpkin cart, a truck full of pumpkins, and various characters holding different types of pumpkins, with bales of hay in the background.

4TH OF JULY PUCCI

For the Fourth of July, I illustrated Pucci wearing a sam hat with a fun expression. I aimed to incorporate the type in a playful ribbon.

ST. PUCCI’S DAY

For this illustration, i imagined pucci in a pot of gold finding a four leaf clover!

UGLY SWEATER DESIGN

I was tasked with creating an ugly sweater design, and I based it on repeating patterns using Christmas elements alongside PC parts like RGB strips and computers. I also included a Pucci-themed snowman and depicted Pucci in a square-shaped snowball fight.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Contest to Collaboration
This is the story of how my success in a popular sticker contest opened doors to even bigger opportunities. My designs caught the attention of NZXT's social media team, and before I knew it, I was invited to freelance for them while still in high school! I was both nervous and excited, but I knew it was a fantastic opportunity—they saw potential in me. The stickers were featured in their monthly calendar design prior to my design job.

Bringing Designs to Life
The sticker designs I created eventually found a place throughout NZXT's headquarters. I even had the chance to visit their HQ, leave some doodles on the wall of their podcast room, and record a podcast with them!
